At Designer Country Homes we create homes that are a contemporary Interpretation of the traditional Australian homestead.
Principal Designer John McInerney is a third generation builder with over 30 years’ experience as a qualified designer. John has been helping clients create memorable places of residence since 1985 and has remained adamant that the essence of exceptional design is simplicity and attention to detail.
With that philosophy in mind and a close connection and affinity with regional West Australia, John has created a range of homes that are breathtaking in design yet marry the grace and beauty of the traditional Australian homestead with today's modern lifestyle - homes that are quintessentially Australian.
John is a multi-award winning designer and has been honoured on 2 consecutive years running with the HIA's Southwest prestigious "Residential Building Designer of the year" award. Other accolades include: winner or finalist in various HIA Southwest home of the year awards over many years.
John has a unique ability to listen and connect with his clients’ needs while still offering simple, cost effective solutions.
On a personal front, John is a dedicated yogi and lover of good food, wine and family.
